The Forge Nordic Sauna Tent is a portable sauna for 8–10 people, designed for Norwegian winters. Thick three-layer insulation and a heavy-duty stainless-steel stove deliver sauna heat up to 100°C. The complete package includes the chimney, sauna stones, two folding benches and accessories.

Take it to your cabin, set it up beside the water or use it as a warming tent for outdoor activities and winter events. It packs down for transport and storage between uses.

Find a suitable, level outdoor area with enough space for the tent, safe stove clearances and easy access

Set up and secure the tent

Unpack, assemble and anchor the tent according to the supplied instructions. Arrange the removable floor as directed, keeping the stove area protected as specified.

Install the stove and chimney

Position the stove, assemble the chimney and arrange the sauna stones according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Maintain all required clearances and keep the ventilation openings unobstructed.

Prepare your sauna

Arrange your bench and accessories, leaving a clear route to the exit. Light the stove with suitable dry firewood and allow the tent to reach your preferred temperature. Keep the stove supervised while in use.

Enjoy the warmth

Settle in for a sauna session with friends or use a lower temperature for warming up between outdoor activities. Take breaks and keep drinking water nearby.

Cool, dry and pack

The insulated fabric helps retain warmth in cold conditions, while the 23 kg stainless-steel stove provides heat up to 100°C, with substantial steel construction for durability and heat retention. The tent poles use ball-and-socket connections that can be slotted back into place if they pop out, so an intact connection can be restored without replacing the pole or tent.

Can I use the Forge sauna tent in winter?

Yes. The tent’s multilayer insulated fabric and wood-burning stove are designed with cold-weather sauna use in mind. Performance depends on the weather, installation and how the stove is operated. Always follow the instructions for anchoring, ventilation and weather limits.

How hot does the sauna tent get

The sauna can reach temperatures up to approximately 100°C under suitable conditions. Outdoor temperature, wind, firewood, ventilation and door openings all affect the temperature. You can also run it at a lower, more comfortable heat. Note, you must use your floor mat, make sure door is closed and that you have the fire burning hot and do not put lots of cold water on the sauna oven if you want to get it up to higher temperatures.

How many people fit inside?

The Forge sauna tent is designed for 8–10 people, depending on the interior layout. Keep the required clearances around the stove and allow enough room to enter and exit comfortably. The package includes one folding bench; additional seating is needed for larger groups. Note, you can order extra sauna benches from us or build your own custom sauna seats.

Can I use it as a warming tent for outdoor activities?

Yes. It can provide a warm gathering space between winter swimming, paddling and other outdoor activities. Run it at a suitable temperature for the group, supervise the stove and maintain ventilation throughout use.

Is the sauna tent portable?

Yes. The tent packs into a storage bag, and the bench folds for transport. The complete setup is best transported by vehicle: the stove alone weighs 23 kg, and the package also includes 16 kg of stones. You do not need to use all the stones you receive with your Forge sauna tent. You will only need about 15 stones on the oven at one time, so make sure to save the leftover sauna stones for when they need replacing. You could pull the sauna tent and oven behind a snowmobile or behind you on skis.

Choose a suitable, level outdoor location with enough space for safe installation and anchoring. Check landowner permission, local fire restrictions and any rules that apply to your chosen location before setting up.

Does the package include everything I need?

It brings together the tent, storage bag, stove, stones, bucket, removable floor, protective gloves and one folding bench. You will need suitable dry firewood, water and personal items such as towels. Follow the installation instructions for any additional site-specific safety equipment.
