Frequently asked questions

Many users find that the orange filtered view feels more comfortable and helps reduce eye strain during evening screen use. Eye strain can also be affected by prolonged close-up focus, screen brightness, dry eyes and insufficient breaks, so the glasses work best alongside healthy screen habits.

Yes. You can wear them during normal evening activities such as walking the dog or visiting a shop, provided the surroundings are safely lit and you can see clearly. Do not wear them while driving, cycling in traffic or performing activities where accurate colour and signal recognition are important.

The glasses can support a correctly timed jet-lag routine by reducing blue-rich light when you are preparing to sleep according to your destination time. They are particularly useful around airport lighting, cabin lights, screens and hotel lighting. Because light timing matters when adjusting your body clock, they should not automatically be worn throughout an entire flight.

The lens test recorded blue-light transmittance of 2.07% across 380–500 nm, equivalent to approximately 97.93% filtration. We therefore describe the glasses as filtering approximately 98% rather than 100%. Transmission varies at individual wavelengths.

The orange tint allows the lenses to filter substantially more short-wavelength blue light than a light or clear daytime coating. This creates a warmer visual environment but also changes colour perception, so the glasses should not be used while driving.

Blue-rich evening light can influence alertness, circadian timing and melatonin release. Reducing that exposure before bed may support your natural evening rhythm and create a more sleep-friendly environment. Results vary, and the glasses are not a treatment for insomnia or other sleep disorders.
